Job Description

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including income tax and sales tax, for SaaS companies. They will oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance and nexus evaluations across multiple states, ensuring accuracy in tax provisions and deferred tax computations according to US GAAP. The role involves assisting with IRS audits, transfer pricing documentation, and international tax planning, as well as supporting R&D tax credits, withholding tax on cross-border transactions, and treaty benefits. This role also includes ensuring compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and transfer pricing regulations for India operations. The candidate will coordinate tax audits and assessments, liaising with external consultants and authorities while implementing tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions.

Must have:

Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance in US

Ensure ASC 740 tax provisions are accurate
Assist in handling IRS audits and transfer pricing
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and income tax in India
Manage GST filings, input tax credits, and reconciliations in India
Oversee Direct Tax (Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax) for India
Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and liaise with authorities
Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Income Tax Act

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist with extensive global experience, especially in US taxation for SaaS companies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of direct and indirect taxes, compliance requirements, transfer pricing, and tax optimization strategies across both jurisdictions. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing tax planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure efficiency and accuracy in tax matters for a SaaS business operating across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

US Taxation:

Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for the company, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
Oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance, registrations, and nexus evaluations across multiple states.
Ensure ASC 740 tax provisions and deferred tax computations are accurate and in compliance with US GAAP.
Assist in handling IRS audits, transfer pricing documentation, and international tax planning.
Support R&D tax credits, withholding tax on cross-border transactions, and treaty benefits.

India Taxation:

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and transfer pricing regulations.
Manage GST filings, input tax credits, and reconciliations.
Oversee Direct Tax (Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, Equalization Levy) for India operations.
Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and liaise with external consultants and tax authorities.
Implement tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions and intercompany billing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 740, IRC regulations, and Indian Income Tax Act.
Familiarity with international tax treaties, permanent establishment risks, and BEPS regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and optimize tax structures.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
