Job Description

The Senior Tools Developer will work with the Star Citizen engineering team at Cloud Imperium Games to improve the team's quality of life by creating powerful tools. Responsibilities include continuously improving and maintaining the game’s crash manager, building and supporting game services through tools and automation, suggesting improvements to systems while maintaining clear documentation, championing key internal products with reliable deliveries, and communicating with users. The developer will be expected to take ownership of the product and strive to improve it with attention to detail. The role involves working on a large-scale project and collaborating with a dedicated team to develop and maintain tools critical to the game's development.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in web services development
  • Backend development experience with PHP, Python, and C#
  • Understanding of continuous integration and CI/CD
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes
Good to have:
  • Experience in the video game industry is a plus

Que ferez-vous ?

  • Travailler aux côtés de l'équipe d'ingénierie de Star Citizen chez Cloud Imperium Games et être une ressource fondamentale pour améliorer la qualité de vie globale de l'équipe en créant des outils puissants
  • Améliorer et maintenir en permanence le gestionnaire de crash du jeu
  • Construire et soutenir des services de jeu par le biais d'outils et d'automatisation
  • Apporter des suggestions pour améliorer les systèmes et en maintenant une documentation claire
  • Promouvoir les produits internes clés avec des livraisons fiables et régulières.
  • Communiquer et être à l'aise pour interagir avec les utilisateurs sur une base régulière.
  • S'approprier le produit et souhaite l'améliorer en prêtant attention aux détails.

Qu'attendons-nous de notre Développeur·se d'outils?

  • Baccalauréat en informatique ou expérience pertinente en programmation
  • Plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans le développement et la maintenance de services Web en direct.
  • Expérience en développement backend avec PHP, Python et C#
  • Bonne connaissance de l'intégration continue avec les serveurs web et les bases de données CI/CD.
  • Expérience de travail avec des outils DevOps tels que Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka.
  • Expérience dans le secteur des jeux vidéo, un atout

What do we expect from our Tools Developer ?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent programming experience
  • Over 5 years of experience developing and maintaining live web services
  • Backend development experience with PHP, Python, and C#
  • Solid understanding of continuous integration with web servers and CI/CD databases
  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
  • Experience in the video game industry is a plus
