Job Description
Meta is seeking a highly motivated and talented Silicon CAD Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a member, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative AR/MR silicon solutions. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining CAD infrastructure for silicon design teams; collaborating with silicon designers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions; developing and implementing automation scripts and tools to improve design efficiency and productivity; troubleshooting and resolving issues related to CAD infrastructure, including hardware and software problems; participating in the development of best practices and standards for CAD infrastructure; and staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in CAD infrastructure and silicon design, firmware and software.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Unix Shell, TCL and SQL
- Experience with CAD tools and methodologies, including design automation and verification
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting
- Experience analyzing complex problems and identifying effective solutions
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team and with cross-functional partners
Good to have:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps tools
- Knowledge of silicon design flows and methodologies
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and Mercurial

Silicon CAD Infrastructure Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain CAD infrastructure for silicon design teams and collaborate with silicon designers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve design efficiency and productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CAD infrastructure, including hardware and software problems
- Participate in the development of best practices and standards for CAD infrastructure
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in CAD infrastructure and silicon design, firmware and software
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
- 1+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Unix Shell, TCL and SQL
- Experience with CAD tools and methodologies, including design automation and verification
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting
- Experience analyzing complex problems and identifying effective solutions

$106,000/year to $133,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
