Snail Games USA is looking for an AI Engineer and Large Language Model (LLM) Developer. This full-time, remote position involves machine translation tasks. The role requires deploying NLP models, training machine learning models using open-source libraries, collaborating with teams, fine-tuning and developing open-source models, and conducting research. The responsibilities include tasks such as enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of computer translation, and offering technical guidance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. The candidate will also be working with LLMs to generate structured outputs and have familiarity with data science libraries.

Software Engineer - AI/Machine Translation

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: This position is fully remote but limited to applicants residing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. 

Job Description:

Snail Games USA is actively seeking a talented AI Engineer and Large Language Model (LLM) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine learning open-source libraries and deep learning techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for machine translation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience deploying NLP models in a production environment and collaborating with software engineering teams on AI-related projects.

  • Train machine learning models using open-source libraries and deep learning frameworks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and integrate landscape analysis into decision-making processes.

  • Familiar with natural language processing (NLP) with experience using large language models (LLM), capable of fine-tuning and developing open-source models to meet specific requirements.

  • Conduct research to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the computer translation system.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.

  • Experience monitoring training success with tools like Tensorboard, Grafana, or MLFlow.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

  • Familiarity with open-source libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience using LLMs to generate structured outputs, using native frameworks or libraries such as LangChain.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Familiarity with data science libraries, including Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.

  • Experience with landscape analysis or related domains is a plus.

Nice to Have: Experience in game AI-related development

  • Proficiency in foreign languages. 

  • Passion for video games, a strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, and being a team player

  • Published papers and contributed to open-source projects related to large language models.

Salary Range: 

  • $110,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
