Job Description

As a Software Engineer II, your responsibilities will encompass application development, bug fixes, and collaboration in paired programming with senior developers. Under the supervision of a team lead, the software engineer will develop and implement new features and enhancements for the software platform. They will also support sports data analytics tools and processes. Key duties involve working on existing projects, building and debugging feature sets, reviewing relevant literature and patents, and participating in the planning of new projects. The role requires proficiency in C++ and Python, testing and fixing legacy applications, and participating in code reviews. The engineer will document code, participate in the agile development process, and deliver robust, scalable code, debug and troubleshoot complex issues, develop automated tests, and process sports data.
Must have:
  • Work on existing projects from the team lead.
  • Build out feature sets.
  • Debug existing feature sets.
  • Work with C++ and Python.
  • Design new software, support applications.

Job Details

As a Software Engineer II your responsibilities will include working on application development, bug fixes, and participate in paired programming with senior developers. Under the guidance of a team lead, the software engineer will develop and implement new and improving feature sets for the software platform. This person will also be supporting sports data analytics tools and processes.

  • Working on existing projects from the team lead 
  • Building out feature sets
  • Debugging existing feature sets
  • Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. 
  • Involved with planning process for new projects 
  • Working with C++ and Python
  • Testing and fixing legacy application
  • Design new software, support applications under development, and enhance current applications.
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Document code and technical documentation of systems 
  • Participate in the agile development process and effectively report status to team leads
  • Deliver robust, scalable, modifiable and documented production level code 
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues 
  • Develop automated tests and run statistical performance analysis
  • Process sports data and develop tools to automate performance reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
