The Solution Area Specialist Security at Microsoft will focus on selling Microsoft Security solutions to enterprise customers. Responsibilities include managing business relationships, understanding customer needs and priorities, identifying security opportunities, building solutions and business cases to close sales. This role requires researching competitor products and collaborating with global black belts to position Microsoft effectively. The specialist will also manage sales pipelines, conduct forecasting, develop territory plans, and actively seek client feedback to improve customer experience. The position offers a flexible work arrangement with up to 50% remote work.

The Solution Specialist team within the Microsoft Security organization is at the forefront of this effort, engaging directly with customers to contribute to their success. 

As a Security Specialist, you will be a selling Microsoft Security to our enterprise customers. You will manage business relationships, understand customer challenges and priorities, identify security opportunities, build solutions and business cases to close the sales. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Requirement/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND technology-related sales or account management experience in Security domain
    • OR relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • You research competitor products, solutions, and/or services and collaborate with the "compete" global black belts (GBBs) to implement strategies to position Microsoft against competitors in customer communication.
  • You seek client feedback (both formal and informal) to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and execute plans to maintain and continue to build on it, and to identify and understand the drivers of dissatisfaction, determine the root cause of problems, and establish recovery action plans to improve clients' overall experience.
  • You manage the pipeline of the assigned territory and conduct forecasting for assigned accounts.
  • You develop a portfolio and territory plan with guidance.
