As a Trading Analyst for Sportsbook, you will be part of a fast-paced team driving insights to improve sportsbook platform performance. You will analyze customer behavior and market performance through data analysis, which will directly impact the optimization of sportsbook offerings. You will also be responsible for running insightful scheduled & ad-hoc analyses, investigating market trends, improving the department’s data accessibility, supporting the communication of cross-department work and assisting in testing of new betting features. This role requires collaboration with data, marketing, and CRM teams to provide data-driven solutions that guide strategic decisions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience with advanced analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, Domo
Good to have:
  • Basic knowledge of sports, with a focus on soccer
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Trading Analyst for Sportsbook, you will join a dynamic and fast-paced team focused on driving insights that shape the sportsbook platform's performance. This role is integral to understanding the nuances of customer behavior and market performance through data analysis, directly impacting the optimization of sportsbook offerings. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the platform meets both customer needs and business objectives, taking ownership of reporting and key performance metrics.

In this role, you will work closely with the data, marketing, and CRM teams to deliver data-driven solutions that guide strategic decisions. With opportunities to work on high-impact projects, including trend identification and product alignment, this is an exciting chance to leverage your analytical skills and collaborate with a range of experts across the organization.
 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 

Run insightful scheduled & ad-hoc analyses supporting the Head Sportsbook Strategy & Analytics / SVP of Sportsbook in-line with the departments main KPIs. 

Investigate market trends and observe competition to obtain valuable market insight. 

 Improve the department’s data accessibility through data dashboards in Domo, Tableau, R, or similar solutions.

 Support the communication of cross department work between Business Intelligence, Data, and the Trading teams with the aim of improving data quality and analysis 

 Assist in testing of new betting features in the betting software & 3rd party products

 Contribute to advanced analytical projects based around market performance 


 

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, or a related field

 1-3 years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated advanced analytical skills

 Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities

 Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, Domo, or similar platforms

 Competent in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

NICE TO HAVEs:

 Basic knowledge of sports, with a focus on soccer

 Ability to make data-driven decisions and apply innovative, solution-oriented thinking in a fast-paced environment
