Summary:
The Senior Manager - Global Trade Systems, Processes & Analytics will be an essential member of Illumina’s Global Trade Compliance Team, leading business engagement on all trade-related systems, processes, and analytics. This includes identifying business needs, engaging internal and external stakeholders, documenting requirements, and managing implementations. Strong candidates will have deep subject matter expertise of global trade compliance and demonstrated experience translating those regulatory requirements into automated systems and processes. This person has demonstrated experience using trade data collection and analytics to improve supply chain performance & reduce costs.

Main Responsibilities:
- Operate under the direction and supervision of the Global Trade Compliance Leader.
- Develop and implement a multi-year roadmap of automated solutions designed to maintain efficiency and compliance.
- Business system owner, accountable for ensuring highest standards of systems content and master data quality.
- Initiate and lead programs that continuously improve and scale trade operations processes as our business grows.
- Lead cross functional engagement to understand business requirements to automate core compliance solutions in areas such as country of origin, valuation, classification, and export controls.
- Develop and implement automated trade data collection and analytics solutions.
- Develop and implement automation of trade metrics, KPIs and reporting capabilities.
- Partner closely with finance to own the monthly Duties & Taxes budgeting, forecasting and reporting process.
- Develop and deliver company-wide training to educate on systems & processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain systems and processes that align to global trade policies, regulations, national & international guidelines

Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Advanced degree (MA, MBA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years in a people management position.
- Minimum 10 years in Global Trade Compliance systems and process roles.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in international trade with a deep understanding of SAP Global Trade Services.
- Subject matter expertise in country-of-origin determination, valuation, and classification.
- Experience implementing systems solutions that support compliance with import and export trade regulations.
- Experience in life science or medical device industry considered a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgement, creativity, flexibility.
- Experience engaging cross-functionally and collaboratively to develop and implement compliance programs.
- Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and manage time effectively.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr Manager, Global Trade Systems and Process role based in the United States of America is: $138,800 - $208,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
