Job Description

This role involves testing and upgrading European vehicle machine software, troubleshooting software and hardware issues within an infotainment system. The system, provided by a tier-1 company to an OEM, includes navigation, media playback (online music, radio, Bluetooth, USB), vehicle controls (mirrors, windows, AC, sunroof, ambient lighting), HUD, driver display, and 360° camera parking assist. Testing is primarily manual, conducted in a vehicle or HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environment. Responsibilities include formulating road test solutions and plans, creating test documentation, analyzing test projects, writing test cases, conducting defect analysis and tracking, testing software functions and performance, analyzing test results, and writing reports. The infotainment system uses Android and QNX.

Must have:

Automotive experience
English (B2)
Test plan formulation
Test case writing
Defect analysis & tracking
DSA, ADB, CANoe experience

Good to have:

Vehicle test experience
Basic C++ knowledge
Android/ADB experience
Chinese speaking
Driving experience

Project description

European vehicle machine software testing and upgrading, follow-up and solution of software and hardware issues.

What we are testing?

Infotainment system provided by a tier 1 company to an OEM. This system includes functions like.
1. navigation
2. Media ( Online music, Radio, BT music, USB music)
3. vehicle control ( Mirrors, windows, AC, sunroof, ambient Light)
4. HUD
5. Drivers Display ( Cluster Instrument)
6. 360* camera parking assist.
Etc. are some of the functions provided by this system.
The ivi system is based on Android and QNX system.
Mainly manual testing is done either in a vehicle or HIL (Test bench)
Tools needed:
DSA (Diagnostics tool from Volvo)
ADB ( for android Platform)
canoe ( for LIN and Flexray communication between different ECUs)

Responsibilities

Formulation of road test solutions and test plans, preparation of test documentation;

To be responsible for specific test project analysis, writing of test cases, defect analysis and defect's tracking;

To test of the product's software functions and performance;

To be responsible for analyzing test results and writing test reports.
