Summary

The VFX Production Assistant supports Producers and Production teams daily. Responsibilities include liaising with senior staff, clients, and crew; answering phones and taking messages; updating diaries and calendars; handling general administrative tasks; downloading and uploading materials; and preparing meeting rooms and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, proficient in MS Office and Google Suite, and fluent in English. Experience in a production assistant role or knowledge of visual effects is desirable but not required.

Good to have:
  • Previous Production Assistant experience
  • VFX or post-production knowledge
  • Experience with database software (e.g., Shotgun)

Job description

VFX Production Assistants are responsible for supporting the Producers and Production teams on a day to day basis. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Liaise with senior VFX staff, crew and key VFX clients

  • Answer phone calls and take messages as appropriate (Sick or on holiday people for example)

  • Update diaries and Calendars schedules

  • General administrative duties as required

  • Download and Upload material from Clients and other collaborators

  • Prepare room and equipment for various meetings

Job requirements

Essential Skills:

 

  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with crew and clients

  • Able to work well under pressure

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Strong computer skills especially with Ms Office suite, including Excel & Word and of the Google Suite including Sheets and Docs

  • Fluent in English, oral and written

 

Desirable Skills:

 

  • Previous experience in a Production Assistant role

  • Some knowledge or understanding of visual effects or post-production

  • Previous experience using database, e.g. Shotgun or a similar production orientated tool
