Onward Search seeks an experienced Account Manager for a 12-month contract opportunity with a multinational toy company. This hybrid role involves supporting the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team, delivering strategic and creative excellence across marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include strategic support (80%), assisting the Account Lead, ensuring brand guideline adherence, overseeing brief intake, developing communication plans, and managing project delivery. Creative strategy (20%) involves contributing creative insights, presenting ideas, and leading brainstorming sessions. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or program management, leading cross-functional teams; agency experience is preferred.

We’re currently seeking an experienced Account Manager for an exciting 12-month opportunity with an American multinational Toy and Manufacturing company located in El Segundo, CA. This hybrid role offers the chance to work on a variety of high-impact marketing communications projects for a globally recognized brand.

In this role, you will support the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team to deliver strategic, creative, and operational excellence across marketing campaigns. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead key brand initiatives, and ensure the smooth execution of brand activations and global marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management (80%)

  • Strategic Support: Assist the IMC Account Lead in driving end-to-end strategic and project support to inspire breakthrough marketing work.
  • Brand Identity: Ensure global adherence to brand guidelines, driving category and portfolio differentiation.
  • Marketing Brief Intake: Oversee the intake process, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of necessary inputs.
  • Communications Plans: Help develop and coordinate communication strategies that align with business and brand objectives.
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with Project Management to create workflows and resource plans, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery of assets.
  • Brand Activations: Lead the development of cross-category brand tentpoles, including global brand guides and activations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead IMC status meetings and participate in Brand 360 meetings to share updates, collaborate on cross-functional projects, and bring back actionable insights.
  • Asset Reviews: Oversee the review and approval of marketing assets, from concepts to production.
  • Budget Management: Assist in aligning with teams on scope of work and production budgets, ensuring projects stay on track financially.
  • Real-Time Project Monitoring: Collaborate with marketing, production, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and monitor projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Competitive Analysis: Proactively monitor and analyze industry trends and competitor communications, sharing insights with the team.

Creative Strategy (20%)

  • Creative Insights: Contribute to the development of creative strategies by providing valuable insights across categories, consumers, and competitors.
  • Idea Presentation: Present creative strategies, ideas, and executions to stakeholders during review and approval stages.
  • Brainstorming Sessions: Lead internal brainstorming and ideation sprints with cross-functional partners to generate actionable ideas.

Key Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, operations, or program management, leading cross-functional teams.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable solutions.
  • Deep understanding of industry, category, and media landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
