A career within a specialised corporate tax services group which will provide you with the opportunity to advise some of our largest multinational clients meet their obligations under a complex new global tax regime. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Pillar 2 Two Global Minimum Tax (GMT) regime will be adopted by more than 140 countries including Malaysia which will be implementing the GMT as well as the qualified domestic minimum top-up tax in 2025.Responsibilities
You will join a team of experts who specialize in Corporate Tax Compliance.
The team provides clients with advice on various compliance issues including paying and minimizing their tax liabilities.
Expect to manage your own portfolio of clients. You will undertake the preparation and completion of complex tax computations including reviewing tax computation prepared by your direct reports.
Agreeing tax liabilities and seeking agreement of tax computations with the tax authorities.
Deal with client queries in relation to tax implication of business transactions, including preparation and review of follow up queries and correspondence with appropriate internal and external parties.
You will be expected to organize, monitor and manage your own workload.

As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on some of our largest multi-country tax engagements focusing on Pillar Two Global Minimum Tax. You will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Advising some of the largest Malaysian multinational enterprises and foreign companies on Pillar Two GMT implications in Malaysia and other jurisdictions.
Preparing impact assessment models and analysing gaps based on the client’s ERP, tax accounting and reporting systems.
Providing technical support for Pillar Two GMT for tax accounting reporting process as well as delivering compliance and reporting solutions.
Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas.
Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results.
Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends.
Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and/or professional qualification.
At least 1 year of work experience within corporate tax compliance, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Pillar Two GMT knowledge/experience, though not required, will be an added advantage.
An understanding of IFRS and/or MFRS rules will be an added advantage.
A good grounding in corporate tax matters computations and willing to take on new and challenging work.
