Job Description

This role involves joining the claims teams in Norwich as a Claims Handler. It is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days a week in the office. The job is technical in nature, focusing on large, complex, global insurance contracts. Responsibilities include handling new claim notifications, negotiating settlements with insurers, interpreting policy wordings, and managing claims. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding service while developing expertise.

Description:

We are seeking a number of talented individuals to join our claims teams in Norwich. These will be hybrid roles, with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Full training and support will be provided, so if you are someone who thrives on delivering an impeccable level of service with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, we would be very keen to hear from you! Whilst previous Claims/Insurance experience would be ideal, we would also be happy to consider entry-level candidates, as long as they are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in a career within Insurance.

Please note, these are not call centre roles and are technical in nature, working on large, complex, global insurance contracts, involving multiple insurers and high value insurance placements.

You will gain excellent exposure to the commercial insurance industry and thrive on working autonomously to deliver outstanding levels of service, whilst developing expertise within your field.

We will rely on you to:

  • Receive, handle and manage new claim notification, subsequent updates and collection requests.
  • Negotiate with Insurers/suppliers to achieve the most beneficial, cost-effective settlement for Clients
  • Review and interpret policy wordings to obtain the best claims settlements for Clients
  • Meet agreed standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and other performance targets in line with bespoke Client SLA’s.
  • Handle and case manage claims and contribute to the satisfactory resolution of complex and/or contentious issues.

What makes you stand out:

  • Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either an Insurer or Broker
  • For consideration for a more senior level poistion, previous training, coaching and mentoring experience together with prior experience of operating at a senior level, would be ideal.
  • CII qualifications or a willingness to study for and obtain
