Position Overview:  

We seek a Country Manager & Company Director for Italy, who will not only lead our operations but also represent our interests across various platforms and jurisdictions. This role requires someone with profound understanding and experience in regulatory compliance, strategic leadership, and operational integration within the Italian market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Representation: Act as the face of Stake in Italy and abroad, engaging with State, Regional, Provincial, and Municipal Administrations, as well as with public and private entities and individuals, including Judicial Authorities.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Liaison: Serve as the company's primary representative in dealings with ADM - Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli and other accredited verification bodies alongside our legal team and counseling, ensuring adherence to local regulations and compliance.
  • Financial and Tax Representation: Oversee financial and tax matters, including assessments and disputes, leveraging both internal resources and external consultants to ensure compliance and optimal financial performance.
  • Operational Leadership: Lead the integration and management of the newly acquired entity, aligning with Easygo's culture, values, and strategic goals. Drive growth in the Italian market by implementing innovative strategies that enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Marketing & Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to organize local marketing campaigns and manage local affiliates to enhance our brand presence in Italy alongside analyze market trends and competitors to align our group strategies and ensure consistent company goals.
  • Localization: Work closely with product teams and providers to improve product localization for the italian market, ensuring alignment with local preferences and regulations.




What You Will Bring to the Role:

 

  • Proven experience in high-level management roles within the entertainment, gaming, or a closely related industry, with a strong emphasis on the Italian market.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Italian regulatory landscape, especially in gambling and gaming, with direct experience in liaising with ADM and other regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate legal, financial, and administrative challenges, ensuring compliance and representing the company’s interests across various forums.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the board.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with excellent cultural awareness and the capability to operate effectively within a multinational corporate environment.

 

Education and Experience:

 

At least 7 years of experience in a senior management role in the italian gambling market, with significant experience in regulatory compliance, legal representation, and strategic leadership.

A track record of successfully managing a business or major company division, particularly during periods of integration or significant transformation.

 

Location: 

 

This role is based in Italy or Malta and involves regular travel within the country and occasional international trips to our European hub and to the Headquarters based in Melbourne, Australia.
