CPU Formal Verification Engineer, Google Cloud

Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves planning formal verification strategies, creating properties and constraints for digital design blocks, utilizing formal property verification tools, contributing to methodology improvements, resolving verification challenges, and architecting reusable formal verification components. The ideal candidate will have experience with main interconnects, DMA controllers, power management, and temporal assertion languages like SVA or PSL. They will be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's consumer products, focusing on performance, efficiency, and integration. Responsibilities include contributing to innovation in hardware and ensuring the best possible user experience.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Experience with main interconnects, DMA, controllers, power management
Experience with temporal assertion languages (SVA or PSL)
Formal verification strategy planning
Utilization of formal verification tools

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in relevant field
Experience with formal verification tools (JasperGold, VC Formal, Questa Formal, or DV360)

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in main interconnects, Direct Memory Access (DMA), controllers, and power management.
Experience capturing design specification in a temporal assertion language (e.g., SVA or PSL).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience working with one or more formal verification tools (e.g., JasperGold, VC Formal, Questa Formal, or DV360).

Responsibilities

Plan the formal verification strategy and create the properties and constraints for digital design blocks.
Utilize formal property verification tools combined with formal verification closure techniques to verify properties.
Contribute improvements to methodologies to enhance formal verification results. Resolve difficult to verify properties.
Architect and implement reusable formal verification components.
