JOB DESCRIPTION
ARVORE is seeking a deeply curious creative strategist to join our team. This role is designed for someone who lives and breathes gaming and is fascinated by VR/AR, and possesses an innate ability to identify and synthesize market trends and consumer insights. As our Creative Strategist, you’ll dive deep into industry research, generate actionable insights, conduct competitive game teardowns, and contribute to shaping the future of our game portfolio. This role demands a strategic thinker with a creative mind who can balance both big-picture vision and detailed analysis.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Corporate Activities
Market & Consumer Insights:
- Conduct thorough research on gaming and VR trends, including but not limited to consumer behavior, emerging genres, and tech advancements.
- Develop strategic insights reports on shifts in consumer preferences and competitive dynamics, helping to shape our studio’s long-term goals.
- Maintain a proactive stance on strategic direction by continually updating key stakeholders on evolving industry trends.
Competitive Landscape Analysis:
- Lead in-depth game teardowns and industry peer reviews, documenting unique mechanics, narrative strategies, and innovative technologies that stand out.
- Identify differentiating factors and opportunities for our studio to lead in the XR and gaming markets.
Product Activities
Creative Ideation & Conceptualization:
- Collaborate with teams to ideate game concepts, features, and mechanics that are aligned with consumer desires and trends.
- Assist in crafting creative briefs to ensure ideation aligns with company goals and overall strategy.
- Contribute strategic insights to pitches and proposals, enhancing their relevance and appeal to prospective partners to support closing new business.
Trendspotting & Gap Analysis:
- Monitor, document, and analyze trending gameplay mechanics and new player engagement methods.
- Develop and maintain detailed player personas, ensuring a clear understanding of target demographics, motivations, and behavioral patterns that can guide game development.
General Activities:
Knowledge-sharing:
- Maintain an accessible, collaborative, regularly updated “Insights Hub” with key research findings, player personas, market trends, and competitive analysis for the team to reference.
- Act as an in-house expert on immersive gaming trends, advising teams on best practices, emerging technologies, and gameplay innovations.
- Lead internal workshops or presentations to educate team members on relevant insights, fostering a shared understanding across departments.
Player Culture Analysis:
- Act as a cultural detective, actively participating in and observing gaming communities across platforms like Discord, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, and other social channels. Collaborating with our community managers, gather qualitative insights by identifying emerging themes, slang, and trends directly from the player base.
- Analyze and document community discussions, fan theories, content creator influence, and audience engagement patterns to understand what truly resonates with players.
- Translate cultural insights into actionable recommendations for creative development, marketing, and community engagement strategies.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- A gamer at heart with a strong understanding of different game genres, mechanics, and player communities.
- Inquisitive and insight-driven mindset: you are naturally curious, proactive, and deeply passionate about asking the right questions and turning findings into actionable strategies. This role values how you think, learn, and engage with emerging ideas over any specific previous job experience.
- Demonstrable interest in VR, gaming trends, and player behavior.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights in a compelling way.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in a product strategy, insights, or creative role, ideally within gaming or a closely related industry.
- Familiarity with game design principles and gameplay mechanics.
- Experience with creative brainstorming and ideation techniques.
- Knowledge of market research tools or techniques specific to the gaming industry.
