About the role
As QA Manager, you will lead and oversee test operations across one to multiple game titles or internal projects. You’ll directly manage and coach project Test Leadership and members of the QA team while being responsible for the overall team’s execution and ongoing improvements. You’ll work cross-functionally with various Projects, Discipline, Central teams, and Vendor Leadership to navigate the correct priorities and resource needs for your team. You’ll invest in staying on top of industry trends and experimenting with new test approaches, including tooling and automation solutions. You’ll support a larger Central QA organization, helping us craft stronger QA teams and test discipline across all of Fortis. You’ll help lead building a supportive, positive culture around inclusion, diversity, teamwork, and the fact that making games can be fun.
What you’ll achieve
- Be a coach and leader for all Fortis QA staff
- Define and drive the test strategy with your team and internal partners
- Ensure resource planning and hiring needs are met for both internal and external staff
- Define, monitor, and adjust the team’s approach based on performance KPIs
- Identify and drive opportunities for improvement across your QA team(s) including tooling, training, or general efficiencies
- Maintain and focus on morale and motivation for the team
- Lead solutions that share success, lessons, or drives improvement across the entire QA organization
What you’ll need to be successful
Required for Success
- Experience leading QA or Development teams
- Direct experience with common test approaches included various non-functional techniques
- Knowledge of Bug Tracking tools (ClickUp, JIRA, etc.)
- Strong team and management skills
- Initiative to give and receive constructive feedback
- Self-managed, continually focus on iterative improvement
- Experience managing and tracking team KPIs for success
- Excellent communication skills; English skills (both spoken and written)

- Experience in mobile platforms (Android and IOS)
