  • Data visualization tools: Preferably Tableau
  • Informatica or similar ETL tools
  • Scripting in UNIX/Linux environment (shell scripting, Perl)
  • Experience in database design, data modeling, and data analysis
Good to have:
  • Experience with data modeling and analysis
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC

The Database Developer and Engineer will leverage their expertise in SQL, Teradata, and data visualization tools to enhance our data infrastructure and deliver high-quality data solutions.

Software Requirements

  • Required Proficiency:

    • SQL and database programming: Advanced level, including stored procedures
    • Teradata: Advanced level, with performance tuning experience
    • Data visualization tools: Preferably Tableau
  • Preferred Proficiency:

    • Informatica or similar ETL tools
    • Scripting in UNIX/Linux environment (shell scripting, Perl)

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize database solutions to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database systems, particularly on Teradata.
  • Develop and maintain data models and database designs to support business objectives.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database solutions and processes.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on data development experience.

  • Design and develop database solutions, including writing stored procedures and scripts.
  • Optimize database performance and conduct regular maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and Agile sprints.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Continuous professional development in database technologies and methodologies is encouraged.
