ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designing DevOps Strategy: Define and implement the overall DevOps strategy, including selecting tools, platforms, and methodologies for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure management.

CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment of applications.

Security Integration: Embed security practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Process Automation: Automate processes using appropriate tools to enhance productivity and reduce human error.

Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor systems and processes, proposing optimizations for performance, security, and cost.

Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor teams, fostering a DevOps culture within the organization.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

Four-year college degree in computer science, engineering or related field plus a minimum of 12 years of related experience or advanced degree with 12+ years of related experience

 Automation Tools: Proficiency with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Containerization: Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Scripting and Programming: Skills in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and programming languages (e.g., Java, Go).
Configuration Management: Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security best practices and tools for securing DevOps environments.
