Job Description

Studio Wildcard seeks a passionate Game Enforcer to contribute to the ARK franchise. Responsibilities include coordinating with customer support, community, and development teams to analyze and act on player-reported bugs, exploits, and issues. The role requires maintaining a professional demeanor, delivering timely penalties for code of conduct violations, identifying and removing cheaters/hackers, and working with the community team on severe punishments and code of conduct adjustments. The successful candidate will also identify patterns in player reports, suggest feature updates and resolutions, investigate emerging threats, and support game security operations. This role demands strong communication skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
Must have:
  • Deep knowledge of ARK: Survival Evolved
  • 1+ year QA Analyst/Game Moderator experience
  • Proficiency with live game admin commands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of OSINT tools and techniques
Good to have:
  • Shipped title as QA/Moderator/Support
  • Fluency in Chinese
  • Experience with research accounts and VMs
  • Programming/scripting knowledge

We're expanding and updating many of the ARK community's most beloved features while taking full advantage of the latest tools and technologies. And now we're searching for an exceptionally talented and passionate Game Enforcer who can create high-impact work for the expanding ARK franchise.


  • Coordinate between customer support, community, and development teams to analyze, verify and act on bugs, issues, and exploits reported by players. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when addressing our players as an official representative of our game.
  • Delivery of timely and accurate penalties for those breaking the code of conduct.
  • Using the tools and metrics provided, identify cheaters/hackers to remove them from the game
  • Work alongside the Community Team to inform them of any severe punishments taking place, as well as adjustments to code of conduct
  • Coordinate with internal and outside partners on various in-game issues, updates, etc. to ensure that we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Identify patterns or common issues players are reporting using data and player feedback to suggest feature updates, player compensation, or issue resolution to Production
  • Find monitor and investigate emerging threats targeting our games and our players.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the game security team and game development teams.
  • Assist in responding to emergency security incidents.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical recipients.
  • Develop solutions for process automation wherever possible.
  • Prepare detailed reports related to malicious code analysis.


Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and passion for ARK: Survival Evolved.
  • Minimum of 1-year cumulative paid game development experience as a QA Analyst or Game Moderator.
  • Knowledge of QA tools and proficiency using live game admin commands responsibly and effectively to carry out tasks. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience producing well-researched concise reports and presentations tailored to a variety of audiences.
  •  Knowledge of advanced OSINT (open-source intelligence) tools and techniques and adapting research methods for new threats.


Pluses:

  • Any shipped title credited as QA Analyst/Game Moderator/Community Support/Customer Service.
  • Fluent in Chinese
  • Experience developing research accounts and setting up virtual machines with consideration to operational security.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of programming or scripting languages
