ABOUT THE POSITION
Virtuos is looking for a confident and proactive Group Finance Manager to support the growing business needs. This individual has to be able to thrive well in an unstructured and creative environment and be unafraid to make a change.
We will evaluate on the cultural fit, communication skills, international exposure and technical skill sets such as strong IFRS knowledge, transfer pricing and group consolidation work.
 

  1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for the group entities.
    • Oversee and manage compliance with regulatory requirements, including EDB, AGM, and XBRL filings.
    • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes to meet regulatory standards.
    • Maintain and update financial records and documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
  2. Corporate Governance & Documentation
    • Manage corporate secretarial duties, including maintaining shareholder and board member lists, cap tables, and company constitution files.
    • Coordinate Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and ensure timely distribution of relevant documents to stakeholders.
    • Work closely with external consultants and legal teams to uphold the group’s governance standards, including liaising with corporate secretarial and external auditors for compliance matters.
  3. Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Allocate responsibilities within the team, ensuring effective management of entities handled by the SG Finance team, including preparer and reviewer roles.
    • Conduct regular team performance reviews and support professional development to achieve department goals.
  4. Process Improvement & System Management
    • Implement best practices in financial processes and reporting systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
    • Ensure that all finance-related documentation is securely stored and managed across digital platforms (e.g., OneDrive, Box) according to company standards.
    • Continuously evaluate and optimize the handover and documentation processes to facilitate seamless transitions within the team.
  5. Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal departments (e.g., HR, Legal) and external contacts, including regulatory bodies and audit firms.
    • Manage relationships with external consultants, auditors, and corporate secretarial contacts to ensure alignment and compliance with financial regulations.

      6. Tax Compliance & Planning

  • Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and other relevant tax filings across jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors and auditors to ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations.
  • Support tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and align with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns, and manage any tax audits or queries from regulatory authorities.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to assess and communicate potential impacts on the business.


    Key Skill Sets required:
    • Strong experience at Group/ Corporate level,Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong IFRS accounting standards and compliance knowledge
    • Relevant industry within technology is advantageous
    • Regional exposure: China, Vietnam, Europe and US countries
    • Good with IT systems eg. Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics
    • Ability to handle full Group Audit independent with Big 4
    • Experience in Transfer Pricing, Project accounting will be added advantage
    • Ability to read and write Chinese
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
