BlueBolt is seeking a talented Matchmove Artist to join its growing team. The successful candidates will work on exciting upcoming projects, requiring proficiency in 3D Equalizer, Maya, and Nuke, with an in-depth understanding of camera and filming techniques. The role involves learning quickly, troubleshooting logically, and collaborating with department heads and VFX supervisors. The artist will need to provide time estimates and meet deadlines while being team-oriented and self-motivated. BlueBolt specializes in compositing, computer graphics, and digital matte painting for film and television productions and has worked on various notable projects.
Must have:
  • Significant matchmove experience in a feature-film VFX facility.
  • Proficient in 3D Equalizer, Maya, and Nuke.
  • In-depth technical understanding of camera and filming techniques.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of modelling matchmove geo in Maya preferable.
  • Previous on-set matchmove/data wrangling experience preferable.

The successful candidates will work on an exciting range of upcoming projects.

Skills/experience:

  • Significant matchmove experience in a feature-film VFX facility
  • Proficient in 3D Equalizer, Maya and Nuke (knowledge of other similar applications are an advantage)
  • In-depth technical understanding of camera and filming techniques
  • Knowledge of modelling matchmove geo in Maya preferable
  • Previous on-set matchmove/data wrangling experience preferable.

This role will require the following:

  • Be able to learn quickly and troubleshoot logically
  • Work closely with department heads and VFX supervisors
  • Give concise time estimates for tasks to production and work to meet those deadlines
  • Be team oriented, self-motivated, and able to drive tasks.

BlueBolt is an award-winning visual effects company. It specialises in compositing, computer graphics and digital matte painting for film and television productions. Over the past fifteen years BlueBolt has worked on many projects including Season One of Game of Thrones, Skyfall, all of Peaky Blinders, The Northman, Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, and Nosferatu.
