Job Description

Forgotten Empires seeks an experienced Producer to contribute to their Age of Empires/Mythology projects. Responsibilities include driving game development from pre-production to post-launch support, supporting production directors and team leads, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, creating and maintaining project documentation, engaging with external clients, managing production financials, and providing internal/external visibility through presentations and reviews. The role requires 3+ years of video game development experience with at least one shipped title in a production/project management capacity and experience with live game support. Proficiency in project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello), client-facing communication skills, and B2-C1 English level are essential.

Description

Forgotten Empires is a full-service game developer focused on Windows PC and Console games. While headquartered in the U.S., our team consists of 100+ passionate individuals from around the globe, each of whom brings a unique skill set and perspective to the table. Since 2022 we are part of Keywords Studios.

We are currently looking to add an experienced Producer to help on our Age of Empires/Mythology projects. As a Producer with us, you will use your exceptional project management skills to help us to bring our games to realization. In return, you will be part of a creative and supportive team environment with the ability to have a direct impact on the development of top-tier games.

Are you up for the challenge?

Some of the cool stuff you'll be doing:

  • Help drive the development of a game title from pre-production to final product release, as well as post launch support.
  • Support Production, Directors and Team leads to develop and communicate a clear vision for the product.
  • Proactively assess and identify risks, mitigate them early and communication issues and proposed solutions.
  • Create and maintain project management documents including status reports, project plans, post-mortems and compiling of historical information.
  • Engage with external clients under project leadership oversight.
  • Forecast and maintain production financials: Budget creation, scheduling and milestone definitions.
  • Provide visibility internally and externally; deliver presentations and reviews with company leadership, internal teams and to clients.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience in video game development with at least 1 shipped title in a production/project management capacity.
  • Experience with live game support.
  • Proficiency with multiple project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and/or Trello.
  • Build, track and maintain both simple and complex project schedules, based on current knowledge of all game development disciplines, including management of staffing, financials and writing contracts.
  • Experienced with client-facing relationships and communications along with strong mediation and negotiation skills.
  • B2-C1 English level – conversational and written.

  • PMP, CSM or CAPM certification.
  • Strong passion for Age of Empires/Mythology franchise.

Location: Must be local to Málaga, Spain or working remotely in UK/EU (EU time zones required)
