The Google Cloud Proposal Manager (English, German) supports sales teams in crafting compelling RFx responses showcasing business value to clients. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams across EMEA, managing multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring compliance and quality, coordinating internal reviews, and delivering timely submissions. Responsibilities include developing proposal strategies, evaluating customer requirements, writing compelling content, leading proposal meetings, and managing the overall proposal development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing skills, project management expertise, and fluency in English and German.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years bid/project management experience
  • Proposal writing & copywriting skills
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Cross-functional team collaboration
Good to have:
  • Project Management Certification
  • RFPIO or similar platform experience
  • Technical writing experience
  • Data analysis skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in bid or project management/program management in a matrixed environment involving cross-functional stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Experience in proposal writing, copywriting, or other creative writing (e.g.,marketing, internals communications, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently as this role requires to create formal documents to respond to English and German speaking client requests.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification or APMP qualification.
  • Experience with RFPIO or other standard proposal automation platform tools.
  • Experience with technical writing.
  • Ability to identify, collect, and analyze data to help deliver informed decisions.

As a Public Sector Proposal Manager, you will support Google Cloud Sales teams in creating Request For (X) (RFx) responses that demonstrate the business value to customers. You will work across numerous teams and time zones, leading and managing multiple RFx responses simultaneously driving proposal development while ensuring security and integrity of all documentation, coordinating internal flow, review of all proposal inputs, coordinating schedules, and conducting final master proposal production. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this business, you will help shape the future of public sector entities across EMEA in deploying and using technology to connect across agencies and with employees and citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the RFx proposal response plan while coordinating with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, commercial, legal, compliance), effective proposal strategies and management plans to produce high quality proposals.
  • Evaluate customer RFx requirements and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and partners to generate a compliant response.
  • Write proposals conveying Google’s technology differentiators while ensuring compliance, contribution, and maintaining reusable knowledge databases.
  • Lead all proposal activities including ensuring bid strategy development and implementation, establishing and enforcing schedules, organizing reviews and incorporating feedback, and on time submission.
  • Drive structured and organized proposal meetings including kickoff and regular cadence throughout the development cycle to maintain focus and effort, keeping the team on task and on schedule for complete and compliant submissions.
