Job Description

The Quantitative Developer role involves designing, developing, and guiding the creation of complex financial products and platforms. Responsibilities include using quantitative models to satisfy customer needs. Key tasks include developing software solutions, determining operational feasibility, improving operations through analysis of financial systems, and providing information by summarizing development and service issues. The role requires collaboration with various teams and the development of high-quality software design and architecture. The candidate will be producing clean and efficient code, and working to fix and improve financial products.
Must have:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages

Role Description:

Applies business requirements and knowledge of software development lifecycles to design, produce and guide the development of complex financial products and platforms using quantitative models that satisfy customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:


- Develops software solutions by following the software development lifecycle
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating quantitative models usability, analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Improves operations by conducting analysis of financial systems and platforms and recommending changes in policies and procedures
- Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarising development and service issues
- Supports and develops team members by providing advice, coaching and development opportunities
- Contributes to and develops high-quality software design and architecture
- Develops tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code
- Collaborates with Quantitative Modelling teams (and other internal teams including Product Owners / Business) to fix and improve financial products.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:


- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Significant knowledge of multiple programming languages and experience in third party software products
- Significant experience in a quantitative / software development role.
