Our team, the Employee Experience Engineering group is a new central technology team that develops application and data services and enterprise mobile applications that support all employees throughout EA. One of our big programs is to reinvent how we deliver help to our employees.
You will be part of a team that delivers this vision. Initially we will build a vanilla ServiceNow platform and layer in multiple modules over time.
As a full stack engineer you will be also involved in integrating the ServiceNow platform with our existing systems, building workflows and services and collaborating with product managers, project managers, architects, quality engineers and infrastructure engineers across the US and other geographies. Your manager will be located in EU. You can work remotely or onsite in our Bucharest office or hybrid. EA offers a range of benefits including pension contributions, healthcare and family leave.
Responsibilities:
Work with PMs, Architects, Network and Systems engineers to understand service and application needs, including build, deployment and management.
Develop service catalogs and APIs
Be able to develop available and reliable applications in the cloud.
Ensure all solutions being developed are well documented with proper technical specifications, testable and maintainable.
Review code with collaborative code-review tools with peers
Implement monitoring, analytics and telemetry in code development.
Collaborate with teams across several geographies.
Communicate progress and issues with engineering and product/project managers.
Qualifications:
Experience with the ServiceNow platform, CI/CD pipeline and automation, Agile work environment, developing in cloud technologies, predominantly AWS, monitoring and analytics using tools like Google Analytics and statsd
Experience developing cloud-based, REST micro-services with latest/recent versions of NodeJS
Experience developing web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks & packages (examples: React, GraphQL, Redux), coding JavaScript applications using TypeScript Object-oriented Programming.
Work with several NonSQL DB (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra) and Cache (Redis, Redux, Elasticache and Memcache)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
6 to 8 years of engineering/development experience.
Experience taking projects from initial spec/requirements through design and implementation, testing and debugging, documentation, and installation in an Agile environment
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners are important
Experience working in a distributed global team
Demonstrate a high level of creativity
