Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for performing routine configuration and deployment activities, conducting testing, troubleshooting incidents and supporting strategic projects.
We will count on you to:
- Support strategic projects by completing deliverables for new solutions and services.
- Produce design documentation according to standard practices for onboarding and operational turnover.
- Deploy solution infrastructure according to defined rack elevations, providing the necessary network cabling/connectivity.
- Perform initial configurations and pre-production testing.
- Conduct all required testing, document results, and provides production certification.
- Monitor Incidents queues: troubleshoots and completes or assign tickets as required.
- Perform all standard BAU configuration & deployment activities.
- Perform all configurations for routine changes required to support the production environment, such as capacity expansion, performance management, provide support for other teams on various IPT voice/ call center systems as well as network infrastructure.
- Execute all IMAC activity, including hardware and technology refresh.
- Coordinate and manages the corporate wide DNS, DHCP, and IP infrastructure using Infoblox product suite in BAU and DR scenarios.
- Responsible for network optimization activities involving and identifying opportunities to reduce outage events, MTTR, and improve overall performance.
- Provide technical and resource assistance to the Voice Service Delivery, Call Center, Voice Ops, Provisioning and Architecture teams as needed – various roles.
- Provide support to other MGTI towers as requested.
- Assist the operations teams with technical troubleshooting and on-site/hands-on support (where applicable) during major incidents and outages.
- Work with carriers to deliver new circuits into targeted communications rooms in the MMC facilities, tracking LEC and LD installation milestones.
- Monitor available capacity of the patch panels and engage/manage cabling contractors to provision new capacity as needed.
- Install non-standard patching and cabling as required for non-standard solutions.
