Fanatee is seeking a detail-oriented and culturally fluent Regional Editor who lives in Mexico to help refine and localize content for the Mexican market. In this freelance, part-time role, you will play a key part in reviewing and adapting in-game content to ensure it's engaging, culturally relevant, and linguistically accurate for players in Mexico. Responsibilities include reviewing and localizing in-game content, reviewing upcoming puzzles, curating and inputting culturally relevant quotes, and providing feedback to improve user experience.
Must have:
- Good conversational skills in English
- Native fluency in Mexican Spanish
- Deep familiarity with Mexican culture, idioms, and slang
- Strong command of Mexican grammar, spelling, and usage
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Good to have:
- Lives in Mexico or Latin America and is immersed in the culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Linguistics, Spanish Language, Writing, or a related field
- Prior experience in content editing, localization, or game content
- Passion for word games, language, and cultural storytelling

Job Details
Location: Remote - MX | Hours: Approx. 20-40 hours/month | Language Focus: Spanish (Mexico) - Conversational English or better is required for this role.

- Review and localize in-game content to ensure high relevance and accuracy for the Mexican audience.
- Review upcoming puzzles for the next game cycle, ensuring they align with the cultural and linguistic preferences of Mexican players.
- Curate and input culturally relevant quotes from local authors for features like trivia or other in-game elements.
- Provide actionable feedback and suggestions to improve user experience and content quality.
Requirements:
- Must have good conversational skills in English to effectively communicate with the team.
- Ideally you live in Mexico or Latin America and are immersed in the culture.
- Native fluency in Mexican Spanish and deep familiarity with Mexican culture, idioms, and slang.
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and usage specific to Mexico.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Linguistics, Spanish Language, Writing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in content editing, localization, or game content is a plus.

$7 - $10 an hour
