Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Malta. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, managing audit processes, and handling restructuring and liquidation activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial transactions while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

• Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, PSP reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.

Audit Management and Liquidation Processes:

• Coordinate and lead external audits and part-audits.
• Work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any audit-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during liquidation procedures.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

• Mentor and support junior finance team members.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and promote best practices in financial management.

Qualifications

Education:

• Fully qualified accountant (Master's in Accountancy or ACCA Professional).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in the iGaming industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing audits and liquidations.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Business Central Dynamics 365, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
