Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer with Elasticsearch at Ness Digital Engineering, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, participating in design decisions, developing necessary functionality, writing unit tests, troubleshooting production issues, and being involved in all phases of the development life cycle. Your expertise in Java, Spring, Elasticsearch, and RESTful services will be crucial in this role. You will be working with a team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Must have:

5+ years of Java development experience
Expertise in Spring
Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch
Commercial experience with RESTful services
Knowledge of Git and Jenkins
Fluency in English
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field

Good to have:

Proficiency with XML and JAXB or XSLT
Familiarity with scripting and cloud technologies (Unix/Linux, Python and Flask, AWS Services)
Capital Markets experience with an understanding of financial instruments and a trading environment
Experience with Regulatory Trade Reporting
Graphql, k8s

Requirements and responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Work with business analysts to understand requirements;
Participate in design decisions;
Develop necessary functionality;
Cover your code with Unit tests;
Perform troubleshooting and support production;
Be involved in all of the phases of the development life cycle.

What you’ll bring:

A bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
A minimum 5 years of Java development experience;
Fluency in spoken English so that you would be able to discuss;
Technical solutions with an overseas team;
Expertise in Spring (specifically Spring Integration and Enterprise Integration Patterns;
Hands on experience with Elasticsearch;
Commercial experience with RESTful services;
Knowledge about Git and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

Ideal candidates will also:

Have proficiency with XML and JAXB or XSLT;
Be familiar with scripting and cloud technologies (Unix/Linux, Python and Flask, AWS Services);
Have Capital Markets experience with an understanding of financial instruments and a trading environment;
Have experience with Regulatory Trade Reporting.
