Join us! We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mobile Automation QA Engineer who is passionate about building and establishing automation practices for our iOS and Android native applications. As the first dedicated automation QA on the mobile team, you will play a pivotal role in setting up our test automation framework and driving automation strategies from scratch.

Candidates eligible for this role must reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Job…

Automation Framework Development

• Establish, design, and implement robust automation frameworks and scripts from the ground up for our iOS and Android native apps using tools like Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Define best practices and standards for automation testing within the mobile team.

Automation & Regression Testing

• Develop comprehensive automated test suites covering functional, regression, UI/UX, and performance tests.
• Ensure thorough test coverage and continuously refine automation scripts to maintain reliability and effectiveness.
• Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines to facilitate frequent and reliable app deployments.

Collaboration & Agile Workflow

• Actively participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and release discussions.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to prioritize issues, validate bug fixes, and streamline the release process.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on automation best practices and test-driven development strategies.

You… 

• 5+ years of experience in mobile automation testing, specifically for iOS and Android native applications.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch using Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Familiarity with mobile debugging and monitoring tools like Charles Proxy, Firebase Crashlytics, and Postman.
• Solid knowledge of mobile development environments (Android Studio, Xcode) and app deployment processes.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate automation testing into Agile/Scrum teams, using test management tools like TestRail / Zephyr and JIRA.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Experience automating API tests using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with mobile performance testing and profiling.
• Understanding and hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, XCode Cloud).
• Prior experience in leading or independently driving automation initiatives within teams.
