The Senior Project Manager – IT is responsible for delivering strategic projects through the entire systems development life cycle. This role involves working closely with IT and business leaders, leading Agile teams, and ensuring project success. Responsibilities include building relationships, managing change, forecasting budgets, planning testing, creating work breakdowns, coaching teams, developing strategies, resolving risks, ensuring delivery, providing documentation, improving processes, utilizing best practices, overseeing projects, and presenting updates to senior leadership.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience leading projects with budgets up to $1M.
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Effective communicator and problem-solver.
  • Extensive experience with budgeting and risk management.
Good to have:
  • Project Management (PMI) or Agile Certification.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture and systems integration.
  • Experience in software, data, or infrastructure implementation.
  • Strong facilitation and organizational effectiveness skills.

* Work Location: The position is based onsite in either Dallas, TX, or Miramar, FL. This is a long-term project with a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 to 4 days in the office each week.

The Role: 

The Senior Project Manager – IT is responsible for delivering strategic projects, programs, and portfolios through the entire systems development life cycle. This role involves working closely with IT and business leaders, leading Agile teams, and ensuring project success through effective planning, execution, and collaboration.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage change processes, including training and communications.
  • Forecast financial and resource needs and develop project budgets.
  • Plan, define, and monitor testing activities and metrics to meet schedules.
  • Create work breakdown structures and track progress against project plans.
  • Coach, guide, and build strong teams while managing diverse individuals.
  • Develop and execute communication and training strategies.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Ensure successful project delivery in alignment with business goals.
  • Provide detailed project documentation according to PMO standards.
  • Continuously monitor and improve delivery processes and reduce costs.
  • Utilize best practices and implement process improvements for enhanced delivery capabilities.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends to improve business solutions.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring alignment of resources and adherence to budgets.
  • Present updates, escalate issues, and provide solutions to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in system development or relevant project management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead projects with budgets between $500K–$1M or manage up to 5 small projects.
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies and systems development.
  • Effective communicator, influencer, and problem-solver with executive presence.
  • Extensive experience with budgeting, risk management, and change management.
  • Ability to manage complex technical projects and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, work/data flow charts, and delivery methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).

Nice to Have: 

  • Project Management (PMI) or Agile Certification.
  • Functional knowledge of IT architecture and systems integration.
  • Experience in software, data, or infrastructure project implementation.
  • Strong facilitation and organizational effectiveness skills.

Expected Compensation:

$60-79 / USD PH

Travel Requirements:
This role requires travel up to 25% (low) or 50% (high), depending on project needs.
