Job Description

Straumann is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in developing their web framework used by customers globally. This role involves contributing to the development of a web framework used internationally, directly impacting the company's goal of providing beautiful smiles. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, collaborating within an agile team, and contributing to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in statically typed and object-oriented programming languages and web frontend development.

Good To Have:

Web backend development experience
SQL knowledge
Angular, Java, Spring framework development
Microservice architectures
3D engine & library experience (Three.js, OpenGL, DirectX, WebGL, Unity)
Unit testing, contract testing, mocking, TDD

Must Have:

Master's/Bachelor's in related field or equivalent experience
Strong experience in statically typed & object-oriented languages
Web frontend development experience
Agile methodologies & framework familiarity (Git, Jira)
Teamwork, flexibility, proactive approach
Proficient English (written & spoken)

Requirements

Master’s/Bachelor’s or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience

Strong development experience in statically typed and object-oriented languages

Professional experience in web frontend development

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and related frameworks (Git, Jira etc.)

Ability to work flexibly, proactively, and creatively within a team

Practical and solution-oriented mindset

Proficient in written and spoken English, including technical writing and presentations

Nice to have

Professional experience in web backend development

Knowledge of SQL knowledge

Experience with Angular, Java, Spring framework development

Exposure to micro-service architectures

Familiarity with 3D engines and libraries (Three.js, OpenGL, DirectX, WebGL, Unity)

Experience using unit tests, contract-testing, mocking frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
