CrazyLabs is a top 3 mobile games publisher with over 6.6 Billion downloads to date, a worldwide leader in hyper-casual games development, distribution, and innovation.

We are seeking a talented Unity Technical Artist to join our ‘infrastructure’ team. You will focus on one or occasionally two projects at a time, collaborating closely with game producers, artists, programmers, and game designers. Your role will be crucial in creating visually appealing and engaging games and enhancing our internal capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with game producers, artists, programmers, and other technical artists to create visually appealing and fun games.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge in Unity and Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on 3D workflows within Unity.
  • Apply expertise in tech-art areas such as shading, VFX, rigging, lighting, and rendering to enhance game visuals.
  • Contribute to the training and development of team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Continuously explore new techniques and tools to improve the artistic quality and efficiency of game development.
  • Create complex, stylized, and eye-catching particle systems.
  • Write and debug shaders in ShaderLab and ShaderGraph.
  • Manage memory and performance on mobile devices to ensure smooth gameplay experiences.
  • Implement and optimize rendering systems and techniques for achieving stylized cartoon effects.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in the games industry working in a tech art position, with at least 1 shipped title.
  • In-depth knowledge of memory and performance management on mobile devices.
  • Experience writing and debugging shaders in ShaderLab and ShaderGraph.
  • Ability to create complex, stylized, and eye-catching particle systems.
  • Understanding of rendering systems and techniques related to achieving stylized casual cartoon effects.
  • In-depth understanding of Unity game engine pipelines (Prefabs workflow, Profiler, Atlases, Frame Debugger, User Interface).
  • Basic knowledge of C# scripting language.
  • Creativity in problem-solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to meet agreed timelines.
  • Love and passion for gaming.
  • Good artistic skills.
