Job Description

As a Software Engineering Manager II, you'll lead engineering teams building AI driven capabilities and features for learning products. You'll lead the development of AI capabilities and features, manage data training systems, and oversee infrastructure for efficient AI model training. You'll also define technical direction, strategy, and road map and collaborate with stakeholders to drive project delivery.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience with software development
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
2 years of experience in people management

Good to have:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
Experience in machine learning
Experience with ideation and innovation at scale
Experience running software engineering teams

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience in machine learning, building /training AI models, back-end data infrastructure or data engineering.
Experience with ideation and innovation at scale.
Experience running software engineering teams and delivering multi-quarter projects.
Ability to collaborate with other people, teams and functions globally, communicate cross-functionally.
Passion for coaching and supporting engineers and engineering managers.
