As a Solutions Manager for Google Cloud, you'll drive vision, mission, and strategy around key solution areas, delivering impactful customer outcomes and enabling solutions-based selling. You'll develop new solution initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders (Strategic Industries, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales), and ensure technical and commercial readiness. Responsibilities include analyzing customer needs, defining and validating solutions, managing cross-functional collaboration for asset development and launch, and managing the solution lifecycle. You'll promote awareness, evaluate success via business indicators, and travel up to 30%. You'll showcase thought leadership by identifying industry trends in cloud computing and recommending solutions to address market opportunities. Direct customer interaction and gathering feedback are crucial.
Must have:
  • 10+ years Cloud sales/Go-to-Market experience
  • Experience in Vertical Industries, Data & AI, Modern Infrastructure, or Security
  • Identify industry trends and relevant Cloud solutions
  • Customer presentation and cross-organizational collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with core infrastructure service capabilities (compute, accelerators for AI/ML)
  • Experience with orchestration, scheduling, and provisioning of resources
  • Experience with automation frameworks and AI/ML frameworks

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with Cloud sales or Go-To-Market, including experience in one or more specialized areas including Vertical Industries, Data and AI, Modern Infrastructure, or Security.
  • Experience identifying industry trends and Cloud solutions that are relevant to key industry verticals (e.g., Retail/CPG, Manufacturing and Auto, HCLS, Financial Services, and others).
  • Experience presenting to customers.
  • Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries, building relationships, and importing/exporting talent and ideas to achieve an organizational goal.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with core infrastructure service capabilities including compute and accelerators for AI/ML workloads.
  • Experience with orchestration, scheduling and provisioning of resources to support workloads at scale.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools to accelerate adoption, consistency and auditability.
  • Experience with AI/ML related frameworks to execute customer use cases across training to inference.
  • Experience architecting core cloud services, compute, storage, and networking to support customer use cases and requirements.

As a Solutions Manager for Google Cloud, you will help drive vision, mission, and strategy around key solution areas. The goals of the solution management function are to deliver impactful, customer-relevant business outcomes, and enable repeatable, low-friction solutions-based selling. You will develop new solution initiatives and deliver the materials to support them in collaboration with a broad, cross-functional group of stakeholders, including Strategic Industries, Product Management and Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. The Solutions Manager is accountable to deliver solutions that accelerate customer adoption and improve the effectiveness of field sales to articulate solution-based value propositions to customers.

In this role, you will showcase thought leadership by identifying and incorporating industry trends in Cloud computing to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new Cloud solutions and use cases. You will partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including availability of the assets required to enable the Go-To-Market teams. You will interface directly with customers, both helping them to understand Google Cloud’s solution offerings and gathering their feedback. Finally, you will recommend ways to adapt as the market and customer needs change.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer needs and market opportunity to select and prioritize Google Cloud solutions.
  • Define and validate solutions with an end-to-end focus on technical and commercial readiness to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration to drive asset development (BOM). Package and launch solutions (enable low-friction customer consumption, deliver strong Google field enablement).
  • Own and manage the ongoing lifecycle of each solution, including: promoting awareness (internal and external, including partners), evaluating success via measurement of business indicators (e.g., business, customer acquisition).
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed (up to 30%).
