Job Description
As a Data Services Tech Lead at Xsolla, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance data services using Go/Python. You'll architect data processing pipelines for large-scale datasets (1+e9 records), develop scalable REST APIs, and ensure data quality. Responsibilities include guiding statistical analysis and forecasting, providing technical leadership in data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring engineers. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Go/Python, experience with large-scale data services, REST API development, and NoSQL databases. You'll also be involved in data workflow orchestration, ensuring system scalability and maintainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance data services using Go/Python.
- Architect and implement data processing pipelines to handle large-scale datasets (1+e9 records).
- Develop and maintain scalable REST APIs for data access and integration.
- Ensure the integrity, quality, and efficiency of data aggregation, matching, and cleaning processes.
- Guide the development of statistical analysis and forecasting modules to support business insights.
- Provide technical leadership in data infrastructure decisions and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, code quality, and performance optimization
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in data engineering
- Strong expertise in Go and/or Python for backend and data processing development
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable data services
- Hands-on experience with REST API development and data workflow orchestration (e.g., Prefect, Airflow)
- Expertise in handling and processing large-scale datasets efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Experience with NoSQL databases and distributed storage solutions
- Ability to make architectural decisions, ensuring system scalability and maintainability
- Experience as a Data Services Architect or in a leading role in data engineering
