Technical Director (f/m/d)
Are you a visionary technical leader with a passion for game development? If you're eager to drive innovation and collaborate with a dynamic team, this role could be your next challenge.
As a Technical Director, you will shape the technical vision that aligns with our business goals, working closely with discipline directors and leads to ensure seamless communication and execution. You'll be at the forefront of creating pragmatic solutions, guiding developers to deliver high-quality code that meets project requirements. Additionally, you'll play a key role in production planning, team mentoring, and fostering a collaborative environment that inspires excellence.

Responsibilities

    • Creating a technical vision that enhances and supports achieving business objectives
    • Collaborating with the other discipline directors and leads to provide a clear technical vision, and helping to communicate that vision to the team
    • Providing pragmatic technical solutions to support creating and updating features
    • Being the technical collaboration partner that supports production planning
    • Working closely with developers to ensure high-quality code that meets the requirements of the projects and overall company direction
    • Facilitating efficient and productive interactions and processes for game development between developers and other disciplines
    • Creating a technical strategy, with concrete plans for the technical development of the projects, drafting development schedules, as well as proposing people allocation for various projects
    • Training and recruiting new developers
    • Creating an environment where mentoring and growth plans in connection to regular performance reviews are part of making a successful team
    • Motivating and inspiring communication, presence, and attitude

Required skills

    • More than 5 years of experience in game development, free-to-play mobile casual games preferred
    • Experience with leading at least one game development team
    • Broad knowledge of best practices in game development and broader software engineering
    • Broad knowledge of game architecture patterns
    • Ability to create a technical strategy, set clear objectives, and communicate them
    • An agile mindset, very familiar with agile game development practices
    • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and projects
    • Willing to constantly learn and grow further
    • Clear and precise communication skills in English
