Job Description

NVIDIA seeks a Tegra Software Engineer (RDSS Intern) in Taipei to contribute to Tegra SOC SW development for automotive, mobile, and embedded products. Responsibilities include firmware and software development for NVIDIA security and system software technologies, applying problem-solving skills across software development and SOC/GPU platforms, and collaborating with global teams. Success requires understanding NVIDIA hardware and software, system design, use case requirements, and software stacks. The internship is part of the 2025 RDSS program; eligibility must be confirmed.
Must have:
  • MS in CS/EE or equivalent
  • Excellent C and Spark programming skills
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of software testing methods
  • Linux/Android environment familiarity
  • Knowledge of OS, embedded systems, or CPU processors
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Good English communication skills
Good to have:
  • Proficiency in Ada/Spark and C/Spark conversion
  • Software security, device security, and cryptography experience
  • Understanding of secure software programming
  • Technical leadership and mentorship experience
  • Low-level hardware and embedded system development experience

As a member of Tegra SW team, you are responsible for Tegra SOC SW development for Automotive, Mobile and other embedded products.

What youll be doing:

  • Develop firmware and software for NVIDIA Security and System Software technologies. 

  • Be challenged to apply your problem solving skills on different aspects of software development and SOC/GPU platforms. 

  • Also learn exciting new technologies, skills and advanced software development that NVIDIA can offer.  The candidate will work with other NVIDIA teams globally too. 

  • A key success for this position is not only a thorough understanding of NVIDIA hardware and software, but also solid grasp of system design, use case requirements and software stacks.

What we need to see:

  • MS degree (CS/EE) or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent in C and Spark programming skills, data structure design and discipline in coding.

  • Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of software testing methods such as software fuzzing, static and dynamic analysis.

  • Familiar with Linux or Android environment.

  • Knowledgeable in operating system, embedded systems, or CPU processors (RISCV, ARM).

  • A successful candidate should be able to work independently and highly self-motivated. He or she should drive issues with little or no supervision.

  • Able to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.

  • Good English language skills to work effectively with global teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, flexible in task assignments and working under pressures are also indispensable for this candidate.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Possesses proficiency in Ada/Spark and is adept at converting between C and Spark languages.

  • Exposure to software security, device security and architecture, and/or cryptography.

  • Understanding of secure software programming guidance and penetration testing.

  • Technical leadership and mentorship experience.

  • Familiar with low-level hardware and embedded system development environment.
