Responsibilities also include community management by responding to comments and messages, monitoring platform performance, and generating reports. Furthermore, the manager must stay updated on industry trends, manage brand reputation, and collaborate with teams on campaign development and crisis management.

About the role:

The Social Media Manager will develop, lead, and implement social media strategies to promote brand presence and engagement across multiple digital platforms. This role involves working closely with marketing, creative, and content teams to deliver cohesive and compelling social media experiences that align with the company’s objectives.

 

What you will be doing:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement that align with business goals and KPIs.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitors' social media presence to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.

Content Planning, Content Creation and Curation:

  • Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and 小红书 (is a plus).
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to generate multimedia content for various campaigns.
  • Ensure optimal posting times based on audience insights and platform analytics.

Community Management:

  • Monitor, engage, and grow the company's social media community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews.
  • Foster community building through user-generated content, discussion and partnerships, positive customer interactions and nurture relationships with followers.

Platform Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and 小红书 (is a plus).
  • Schedule and post content across all platforms using social media management tools.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor, track and analyse social media performance metrics and generate insights to inform and adjust strategies.
  • Provide insights, prepare regular reports on key metrics and provide recommendations for optimisations to improve engagement, reach and conversion.

Brand Monitoring:

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and current events to inform proactive strategy adjustments.
  • Monitor brand reputation across all platforms and manage any arising issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for campaign development and execution.
  • Communicate progress and results to stakeholders and adjust strategies as needed.

Crisis Management:

  • Work with the Client to develop protocols to handle and mitigate potential social media crises or negative publicity.
  • Use discretion and strategic thinking to address sensitive situations promptly.

Research & Trends:

  • Research and identify industry trends, audience preferences, emerging social media technologies, hashtags, and competitive analysis.
  • Adapt and experiment with different content types and formats to see what resonates most with the audience.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Assist in tracking and analysing campaign performance to improve future social media strategies.
  • Prepare regular monthly reports on social media performance and suggest improvements.

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Experience in handling eventing expo & convention, ticketed sales events, FMCG and retail Clients.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and 小红书 (is a plus)
  • Strong skills in content creation, copywriting, and visual design.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in paid social media advertising is a plus.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
