Job Description

The Account Strategist, Retail, Mid-Market Sales role at Google Customer Solutions involves working with businesses of various sizes to develop and implement effective digital advertising strategies. Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly growth goals, owning a portfolio of medium and large businesses, pitching and consulting with customers, driving customer growth by delivering outstanding customer experience, and managing stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate possesses experience in advertising, consultative business, online media, business development, or marketing; knowledge of online marketing strategy and performance marketing; strong communication and analytical skills; and the ability to build client relationships and achieve growth goals. This role requires understanding business needs, setting strategic directions for advertising campaigns, and working closely with clients to achieve their business objectives.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/marketing
  • Consultative sales experience
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage client portfolios and achieve growth
Good to have:
  • Experience with performance marketing
  • Ability to build narratives and use storytelling
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative business, online media environment, business development, or marketing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including questioning, objection handling and engaged promoting.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy; expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling for client engagement.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media business, and consistently overachieve goals to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly growth and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder management, build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
