Job Description

The AI Business Partner will play a key role in ensuring that individuals throughout the business are well-positioned to benefit from this new technology. This includes collaborating directly with partner teams, deploying limited evaluations, working with vendors, developing important resources and reference materials, and assessing the overall impact of these tools. The role involves fostering strong relationships across the enterprise to educate, share best practices, and set customers up for success. Other responsibilities include staying current on AI trends, assessing the adoption and efficiency of services, onboarding and sunsetting vendors, raising issues and feature requests, evaluating AI vendors, and assisting in AI governance and compliance.

The Challenge

T2’s AI group focuses on developing innovative ways to solve problems within the game development process, demonstrating directly the ways that AI can improve the creativity and efficiency of team members across T2 and its subsidiaries. Our team is multi-disciplinary, and includes Engineers, Data Scientists and Product Managers among others. Our development team builds cloud-based tools and technologies to support every aspect of the development process, from concept development through LiveOps and publishing operations, while our AI Business Partner team focuses on the success of third-party AI tools.

We are seeking an additional AI Business Partner to join our small team. In this role, you play a key part in ensuring individuals throughout the business are well-positioned to benefit from this exciting new technology, including collaborating directly with partner teams, deploying limited evaluations, working with vendors, developing important resources and reference materials, and assessing the overall impact of these tools.

 

What You’ll Take On

  • Foster strong relationships and open communication across the enterprise to educate, share best practices, and overall set our customers up for success with our tools.
  • Stay current on the trends and advancements in the AI ecosystem.
  • Assess the adoption and efficiency of these services to inform if we should modify the terms of our engagement, migrate to something else or eventually roll our own solution.
  • Be responsible for onboarding and sunsetting these vendors.
  • Raise issues and feature requests to our vendors.
  • Evaluate AI vendors for fitness, ethics, security and legality.
  • Assist in AI governance and compliance of third-party providers by working with Legal and other partners including maintaining the status of each vendor, tracking issues, coordinating meetings, and reporting to management.
  • Expedite across dependencies such as Legal, Security, or Procurement to reduce delays in getting tools into the hands of our internal customers.
  • Coordinate closely with other fields (especially Production and Product Management) to ensure alignment against the AI team and T2's goals.

 

What You Bring

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or other relevant field
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI applications and methods
  • Experience using or building AI
  • Experience in project management, production, and/or product management
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage workload and consistently achieve delivery timelines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to challenge and influence in a collaborative way

 

Great to Have

  • Prior work in game development and/or customer success
  • Experience gathering user feedback through playtesting or focus testing to draw insights and guide decisions

The pay range for this position in Alberta at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,900 and $96,040 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
