Zynga is seeking a skilled ANIMATOR proficient in Unity to join a dynamic team for one of Zynga’s most established games. We are looking for driven individuals who want to contribute to the growth and development of our product in a highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work with talented contributors from different disciplines and bring a unique perspective to the table. Applicants must have a strong understanding of animation principles and be able to use a range of techniques to drive high-quality visuals with a limited toolset.

Main Responsibilities

  • The Animator will collaborate with designers, concept artists, technical artists, and software engineers to develop exceptional animation and special effects. The primary duties include 2.5D animation in Unity, focusing on symbols, logos, environments, VFX, and character animations. The role also involves modeling and rigging to support the animation pipeline.
  • Encourage and generate creative ideas and solutions with the team.
  • Additional duties include packing texture sheets, creating and animating particle systems, implementing animations into our game engine, and optimizing art assets. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded experience in a game pipeline.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • 2-5 years of game development experience.
  • Strong principles of Design and Animation (2D/3D, character, environment, UI, VFX)
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to provide and receive feedback.
  • Software experience in: Maya, Unity, Photoshop, Perforce, Git
  • Technical experience modeling, skinning and rigging 2D/3D assets/characters.
  • Knowledge of game development on multiple projects, enabling pragmatic, strategic judgements and providing creative ideas and solutions to the team.
  • Proven experience delivering animations on ambitious timelines.
  • An openness to learn, adapt, and be flexible in a highly collaborative team.
  • A strong showreel that demonstrates animation principles and skills.
  • A love of games!
