We are seeking a dedicated Audio Designer to contribute to the expanding world of Sky. This role involves creating and implementing sound effects across various game elements, from epic cinematics to subtle animations and environmental sounds. You'll collaborate with our in-house teams to ensure a high-quality immersive player experience. Responsibilities include recording and editing Foley and dialogue, mastering audio samples (looping, noise reduction, pitch shifting), and working with audio middleware (FMOD preferred). A deep understanding of audio production techniques and a passion for Sky: Children of the Light are essential. The role requires cross-platform and multiplayer game development experience.
Must have:
  • 2+ years professional audio experience
  • Experience with DAW (Cubase, Pro Tools etc.)
  • Virtual audio plugin & hardware experience
  • Foley/dialogue recording and editing
  • Audio sample editing skills (looping, noise reduction)
  • Familiarity with audio middleware (FMOD preferred)
  • Passion for Sky: Children of the Light
Good to have:
  • Proficiency in C/C++ or game programming
  • Surround audio mixing experience
  • Procedural/generative AI audio design
  • Version control (Perforce preferred)
  • Background in audio design, technology, or music
  • Excellent Mac skills & cloud workspace experience
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills

We are looking for a dedicated audio designer for the ever-expanding world of Sky. This role creates and implements sound effects meeting technical and narrative requirements for Sky with our in-house audio, art, design and engineering team members. From epic cinematics to subtle animation sound, and from mysterious world’s ambience to cute creatures chirping no one has ever heard in real life, all of the acoustic pieces are essential parts of immersion and player experience. Magic is waiting to happen with your imagination and creativity.

Must haves:

  • 2+ years of professional audio experience in cross-platform and multiplayer game interactive entertainment development

  • Deep experience with at least one of common digital audio workstation (Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Studio One, Live, Reaper, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, etc.)

  • Extensive experience with virtual audio plug-ins and digital audio hardwares

  • Experience in recording and editing of foley and/or dialogue

  • Deep understanding of audio sample editing including but not limited to smooth loop creation, noise reduction, pitch shifting, time stretch and encoding.

  • Familiarity with at least one of common audio middleware (Fmod is preferred, or Wwise, Miles, ADX, Fabric, etc.)

  • A passion for Sky: Children of the Light as an experienced player and understanding of the product’s vision

Good to haves:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ or experience in game programming

  • Experience in mixing surround audio formats

  • Experience in designing procedural and/or generative AI audio

  • Familiarity with at least one of common version control systems (PerForce is preferred, or GitHub, GitLab, SVN, etc.)

  • Background in audio design, audio technology, audio production, music composition, sound mixing/recording, interactive entertainment, computer science or acoustic engineering

  • Excellent Mac skills and collaboration experience of cloud workspace like Google Workspace and Jira

  • Excellent time management skills for assigned tasks and the ability to handle large workloads efficiently

  • Flexibility and willingness to incorporate feedback into multiple iterations to achieve highest-quality results

  • Possessing strong communication and collaboration skills

The salary range for this position is $65k to $75k+ USD annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
