As a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Marketing at Zscaler, you'll gather and document requirements for marketing technology projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), grooming backlogs, conducting unit testing, and participating in go-live activities. A strong understanding of marketing technology stacks (including marketing automation, Salesforce CRM, data enrichment, and reporting) is crucial. You'll work with Marketo or equivalent and have knowledge of data privacy regulations. The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies and experience working with cross functional teams.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in marketing technology
  • Experience with marketing automation (Marketo)
  • Proficiency in BRD writing and backlog management
  • Data privacy regulation understanding (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with JIRA, API, Workato, Tray.io, or Zapier
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Strong Salesforce and lead management process understanding

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing IT Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing technology stacks, including demand generation, campaign management, and lead to opportunity management. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively. You will be reporting to Sr. Manager- Marketing Automation. you will be responsible for:

  • Gather and document requirements for marketing technology projects collaborating with business
  • Write and create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) based on collected requirements to clearly define the project's objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Groom and maintain backlogs, ensuring all tasks are prioritized and managed effectively.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in go-live activities to ensure smooth deployment.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and writing BRDs and writing user stories and managing backlogs.
  • Cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and participation in go-live activities.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Understand of marketing principles and strategies.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of In-depth understanding of marketing technology stacks, marketing automation, Salesforce CRM, data enrichment, integrations, and reporting & insights.
  • Marketing Automation- Experience with Marketo or equivalent.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance requirements

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Familiarity with JIRA, API, and integrations using Workato, Tray.io, or Zapier.
  • Experience implementing full lifecycle projects using agile methodology.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce and lead management process.
