About the job

Key Responsibilities

Play a leading role in the testing of system release candidates to ensure that changes to the production system are stable and accurate. Clear and appropriate communication with multiple stakeholders, including Application Support, Technology and Business teams. Establishing test cases, automating test cases, investigating and explaining differences from expected behaviour.

Essential Skills And Experience

Business

  • Broad knowledge of Financial markets (desired)
  • Experience with Scrum and the use of Jira & writing test cases using Zephyr. Experience working with cross-functional technology teams to deliver projects using agile methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in testing including test planning and execution of Functional, SIT, UAT and Regression tests.

Technical

  • Experience of databases, particularly Oracle and Snowflake
  • Competent SQL (or PL/SQL)
  • Experience in test automation approaches including technologies such as Cucumber, Python etc.
  • Some experience using tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket and/or Ansible
  • Stays up to date with best tooling and emerging technologies.
  • Hands on experience testing ETL processes loading Data Warehouses/Data Marts (DbT/Informatica is a bonus)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies on at least one of the major cloud services providers (AWS preferable) – AWS S3, MWAA Airflow, Datadog, Bitbucket etc
  • Experience working on CloudBees pipeline (complile, build & deploy), Jira & Confluence.

  • Contribute to cross-team activities, such as the development of standards and processes, as well as ensuring compliance with these.

Experience

  • 4-5 years’ experience building test automation solutions.
