About Your Role

At Xola, you'll be part of a small but elite team of rockstar engineers. As a member of the Platform team, you'll be working on designing and developing microservices that integrate with our core product. This is a great opportunity to build an incredibly disruptive technology platform from the ground up.

Our products are completely API driven which allows for an incredible amount of flexibility and creativity around the ecosystem we build. We love experimenting with new technologies and doing mash-ups with our APIs and would expect you to be imaginative with them also.

We consider design and usability to be paramount for the success of our product -- both, for our front-end app and our APIs. You're expected to be creative and throw in your own "special sauce" into our products -- whether it's beautiful animations or fun easter eggs, you'll have the freedom to make the product "yours".

What You Will Do

• Document and perform manual test cases.
• Develop automated test suites.
• Actively work with development and infrastructure teams for integrating test automation as an integral part of the Continuous delivery pipeline.
• Responsible for tracking and logging defects during execution.
• Has understood and adopted effective techniques of parallel testing in an agile product development environment.
• Document lessons learned, help maintain a knowledge database.
• Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote best engineering practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, and other quality attributes across products.
• Should be able to work in close collaboration with Product Management and Product Engineering teams.
• Should be able to carry out healthy and constructive criticism with team members, peers and managers for the benefit of the Product.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Understanding and experience with testing including web, mobile, API testing technologies, Manual testing, Functional testing, Regression testing and web automation testing framework and best practices(Selenium, BDD, API, java).
• Experience in Test Engineering for distributed applications with service-oriented architecture and event-based processing.
• Able to implement, maintain and improve test automation frameworks.
• Good knowledge of database concepts (e.g. MongoDB) and version control systems (e.g. git).
• Strong experience and understanding of core Java.
• Strong experience with test case management, code coverage, and defect management (bug databases) tools, test scheduling, test resource management, test run analysis, and regression environments.
• Experience in non-functional testing types like API testing using postman or other tools, UI Testing along with any other automation tool is a plus.
• Experience in an Agile development environment is a plus.
