Job Summary
Job Description
As a Backend Developer Intern at Mistplay, you'll gain hands-on experience building, optimizing, and scaling backend services supporting millions of users. Responsibilities include assisting in the design, development, and deployment of backend services for Mistplay's rewards and engagement platform; writing and maintaining scalable, secure, high-performance code in TypeScript using NestJS and ExpressJS; integrating APIs and backend services; troubleshooting and debugging; and contributing to technical discussions exploring AI-driven solutions to enhance personalization and user experience. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field and has familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js. Experience with generative AI, prior backend development projects, or familiarity with Git and RESTful APIs is a plus.
Must have:
- Bachelor's/Master's in CS or related field

As a Backend Developer Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with backend technologies while helping to power key features of our platform.
You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to build, optimize, and scale backend services that support millions of users. What You’ll Do at Mistplay:
Assist in designing, developing, and deploying backend services that support Mistplay’s rewards and engagement platform.
Write and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance code in TypeScript using NestJS and ExpressJS.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and backend services.
Participate in troubleshooting and debugging to maintain system reliability.
Contribute to technical discussions and collaborate with the engineering team to explore AI-driven solutions that enhance personalization and user experience.
What you’ll bring to Mistplay:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
Interest in learning frameworks like NestJS and ExpressJS.
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for clean, maintainable code.
Passion for working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Bonus: Experience with generative AI, prior backend development projects, or familiarity with Git and RESTful APIs.
