Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have a choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand multi-team administrative requirements and designing scalable solutions.
• Deliver great user experience to administrators by ideating and confirming tech feasibility of solution to manage large-scale enterprises..
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the team’s domain as and when they arise, and being part of the team’s rostered on-call rotation.
• Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve the domain owned by the team.

You're probably a match

• You have experience writing production code in Java with disciplined coding practices, and experience with code reviews and pull requests. You model best practices to your peers.
• You have strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal. A Canva engineer strives to understand the exact problem before jumping into writing code.
• All of our services are built on AWS. While not required, commercial experience with AWS services like DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS is an advantage.

The Admin Experience Group is on a mission to revolutionise how large teams utilise and administer Canva. Our primary focus is to design new features that empower our users with flexible configuration and robust team management capabilities.
