As a Content Editor – Korean Language Specialist, you will be responsible for translating content into Korean, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance. You'll review translations, proofread various content formats, and maintain linguistic consistency. You will collaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external linguists. The role involves creating new content assets, updating existing ones, and providing insights to enhance the localization process. The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused with a strong sense of ownership.

Content Editor - Language Specialist (Korean)
Location: Bristol, Onsite
Salary: DOE

Do you have a passion for language, and delivering exceptional content experiences? Are you fluent in Korean and ready to help shape localised content for global brands? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Language Specialist to join our team.

This role focuses on aiding the translation of content into a native language while maintaining consistency and accuracy across formats. You will collaborate with our client stakeholders, internal teams, and external linguist resources to ensure all translated content meets quality standards and aligns with client and company expectations.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating and maintaining high-quality, user-focused content that enhances the overall experience for native-language users.

Key Areas:

Content Translation and Localisation

  • Review translations of new and existing content, ensuring accuracy, clarity and cultural relevance.

  • Test and proofread various content formats, including scripts and text within imagery, before they go live.

  • Maintain tonality, formality, and linguistic consistency across all translated content

  • Utilise internal tools to identify and edit text within images and simulations into native language.

Content Creation and Updates

  • Create new content assets to meet client, consumer and wider market demands.

  • Translate voice of customer and insights from native language entries into English.

  • Regularly review and update existing assets to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Review marketing assets created in native language for accuracy, clarity and cultural reference.

Collaboration and Quality Assurance

  • Work with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external linguist resources to ensure accuracy and consistency across all language variants.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for your language within the team, providing guidance and support.

Role and Responsibility:

Ownership

  • Ownership of delivery of all content for your specialist language.

  • Ensure all translated content aligns with client and brand expectations while addressing user needs.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain workflows and meet deadlines for translation tasks and content updates.

  • Ensure all content adheres to established quality and accessibility standards.


    Strategic Contribution

    • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the localisation process and improve content delivery.

    • Stay informed about linguistic and cultural trends that may impact content delivery.

    • Actively champion best practices for translations within the team.

    Key Skills and Qualifications:

    Experience

    • Fluency in Korean with strong grammar and spelling skills.

    • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

    • Proven experience in translating and proofreading content across multiple formats.

    • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and localisation tools (preferred).

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and without ambiguity.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Familiarity with usability, accessibility, and content best practices.
